The Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous, affirmed that the policy of support is a strategic approach that Syria will not abandon, but that mechanisms are being worked out to ensure that it is delivered to its beneficiaries, stressing that the illegal coercive Western economic measures are the cause of the suffering of the Syrian people.

In an interview with Al-Souriya and Al-Ikhbariya channels and Radio Damascus tonight, Arnous indicated that the state is working to deliver support to its true owners, and the segment of employees, workers, farmers, retirees and the military will not be affected, indicating that the savings in restructuring the support will be directed to alleviating the budget deficit, improving salaries and providing social care to those in need.

Arnous clarified that the reality of electricity, oil derivatives and many services that were provided in the best forms before 2011 declined due to the terrorist war that was waged on our country, pointing out that before the war we had 20 million cubic meters of gas used in the production of electric power, while the available energy sources Today, only 2,400 megabytes of electricity are provided per day, and this number is much less than what Syria needs, which has imposed rationing.

And Arnous indicated that the priority is to secure electric power for industrial facilities because we are a besieged country and we are facing a war, and if we do not have production, we are not on the right path, pointing out that there is a great trend towards alternative energy, as we produce 33 megabytes using it, and work is underway to produce an additional 70 megabytes during the months. In the coming years, a contract was signed for a solar power plant with a capacity of 300 megabytes, which will be ready after a year and a half. The second half of this year will witness breakthroughs in securing electric power, and the recovery of this sector will reflect positively on all other sectors.

Arnous stressed that the shortage in oil derivatives was caused by the American occupation, which plundered the production of our fields of oil and gas in the Syrian island, explaining that Syria's daily needs of 5.5 million liters of gasoline, 4 million of which are provided, and 8.5 million liters of diesel, 5.5 million of which are being secured in the best conditions. .

Arnous pointed out that the transportation sector was destroyed during the terrorist war by 60 percent. To achieve recovery in this sector, large sums were allocated in the state's general budget to import means of transportation and other reform, calling on the private sector to invest in internal transportation, which will provide it with all the necessary facilities and support.

Arnous stressed that the state will continue to work on stabilizing the exchange rate of the lira, which was affected by the terrorist war and coercive measures, pointing out that the most important factor in this field is the increase in production, stressing at the same time that the fight against corruption continues, and everyone who extended his hand to the Syrian economy and stole money that is not his right will be held accountable.
