The AfD politician Markus Bayerbach is threatened with exclusion from the education committee of the Bavarian state parliament.

The reason is radical Telegram chats.

Erlangen - He spread radical content on Telegram, now he is to be voted out by the members of the education committee of the state parliament on January 27: Markus Bayerbach, member of the AfD. In a December meeting, Bayerbach was convicted of a deliberate lie for the first time by the Erlangen * MP and member of the educational qualification, Mathias Fischbach, as  reported by

nordbayern.de

The starting point of the debate were posts with overthrow fantasies that AfD politician Anne Cyron, also a member of the education committee, distributed via Telegram.

According to reports in the

Süddeutsche Zeitung

, Bayerbach was asked to distance himself from Cyron and to leave her exclusion.

According to his claims, the committee chief himself was not a member of this Telegram group.

Erlangen MP reveals radical Telegram chats: AfD politician Bayerbach threatens committee

According to research by

Bayerischer Rundfunk

, Bayerbach has posted a total of more than 450 articles on Telegram in the last four years.

The FDP MP Matthias Fischbach had confronted him with it, writes

on.

The committee then voted to recall the chairman.

The trust was "massively shaken".

According to written statements by Cyron and Bayerbach, an "intentional lie" was not intended.

Furthermore, Bayerbach explains that as an AfD politician you are "permanently added to any group without being asked", "which is why I lost track of it here".

Trust is still broken

Tobias Gotthardt, Free Voters, who would be acting as vice-boss when Bayerbach was voted out, considers the explanation to be “poor - in terms of the demarcation to extreme positions”.

Fischbach also thinks the declaration is "not suitable for rebuilding trust".

He explained to

nordbayern.de,

“that Bayerbach has to admit again that he didn't tell us the whole truth because he was obviously further in the group.

He did not go into any further details on his active participation with over 450 statements, which seemingly unnoticed being added makes it seem untrustworthy ”.

AfD chairman acted late

According to the FDP parliamentarian, Bayerbach should have dealt with the problem at the latest at the committee meeting, which took place one day before the plenary session.

“I would have expected the chairman of the education committee responsible for the prevention of extremism to distance himself clearly from the concrete statements and to question Cyron's membership in this body.

Unfortunately, even after our intergroup declaration, that did not happen, ”adds Fischbach.

He therefore firmly assumes that the committee will seal the recall of its chairman in its January meeting.
