He's back again!

Karl M.'s (85) white VW Golf appeared after just under a month.

After our newspaper reported about the missing car, a reader got in touch.

Munich - Now he's back with his owner.

“Incredible”, says Karl's son Bernhard M. (51).

Review: On December 2nd, the 85-year-old Karl M. parked his car somewhere in Munich * on the side of the road.

And forget where it was in a touch of dementia.

He'd come home in a taxi - after being gone for 24 hours.

He had the car key with him.

The car could not be found for almost a month.

A newspaper advertisement and any search had been unsuccessful.

But the article in the

tz

last Thursday turned things around.

Munich: An electrician noticed the Golf while visiting a customer

Thanks go to Klaus Maier. The electrician was on his way to his next appointment with a customer on Thursday morning. In Neumarkter Strasse he saw a white gulf on the side of the road. Fortunately, he'd had a look at the newspaper beforehand. “At first I only saw the number 25 at the end of the license plate,” says Maier. Then he made sure again and reported to the editorial office. “I actually thought that a lot of people would have already contacted me.” But Maier was the very first.

On Friday morning, the M. family finally had their white Golf back.

With a smile on his face, Bernhard M. got in to take his father's car to Heinrich-Wieland-Straße (Berg am Laim *) at home.

The whole time it was only about two miles from home.

"We are really happy and are very grateful to Mr. Maier," says Bernhard M. And Klaus Maier is also happy that he was able to help.

So everyone could start the new year with a good feeling.
