Memmingen - This morning (3.1.2022) there was a head-on collision between a car and a truck in Memmingen. The car driver died shortly afterwards at the Memmingen Clinic from her serious injuries.
On Monday (03/01/2022) a 69-year-old car driver drove on Fraunhoferstraße in the direction of Europastraße.
Shortly before the junction with Kiryat-Shmona-Strasse, she came into the lane of an oncoming lorry for reasons that have not yet been clarified. Due to the subsequent head-on collision, she was trapped in the car and had to be rescued from the vehicle by the volunteer fire brigades in Memmingen and Amendingen.
After being transported to the Memmingen Clinic, she died a short time later of her serious injuries.
The truck driver was uninjured.
An expert was called in on the instructions of the Memmingen public prosecutor's office to clarify the matter.
The total amount of damage is currently estimated at 15,000 euros.
