In the week between the years, a Bundeswehr soldier had made threats against the state in an online video - and was then briefly arrested.
Now the Munich Public Prosecutor's Office has taken over the investigation against the soldier.
The judicial authority in Munich announced that the Central Office for Combating Extremism and Terrorism (ZET) at the General Public Prosecutor's Office has been responsible for the proceedings previously carried out by the Traunstein public prosecutor's office.
An extremist background cannot be ruled out.
The Bundeswehr soldier was arrested on Thursday evening at Munich's Odeonsplatz after threatening the state in an Internet video.
In the video clip, the man, who calls himself a sergeant major, demands, among other things, the withdrawal of the state corona measures and the obligation to tolerate, according to which the Covid vaccination became a regulation in the Bundeswehr.
"This is a warning," he says.
"See you tomorrow" - that is, Thursday - a comment is required.
The police then arrested him on Munich's Odeonsplatz, and he is now free again.
Banned from uniform and duty for a long time
According to SPIEGEL information, the man is a Bundeswehr soldier with the mountain troops stationed in Bad Reichenhall.
He has been banned from uniform and duty for a long time because of comparable statements, which amounts to a quasi-suspension.
In addition to the video, he commented on the corona policy of the federal government in other messages on social media.
Among other things, he turned against mandatory vaccinations.
He also called for armed protection of so-called walks by opponents of corona protective measures.
The Bundeswehr soldier is being investigated because of a public request to commit criminal offenses.
However, investigations will be carried out in all directions, as far as criminally relevant facts are in the room, said the Public Prosecutor's Office.
