Dachau's youth elects a new youth council.

Any adolescent or young adult who is resident in the city of Dachau and is at least 13 and not yet 21 years old on March 20, can be a candidate for the youth council. The new youth council then meets twice a month for two years in its youth council office after the online voting, which takes place for the first time this year, and decides on joint projects.
What exactly does the youth council do? The youth council represents the interests of all adolescents and young adults in the city of Dachau and advises the city council on matters that affect young people. The youth council has the right to submit applications to the city and to take a position personally in the city council. Your own projects can be carried out by and for young people or projects by other youth groups can be supported - the youth council receives a generous budget from the city for this purpose. In the city youth council, young people exercise active democratic participation together in a relaxed setting and train social skills that are also useful in professional life. “So it's definitely worth taking part,” says the city of Dachau.
