Permitted for publication: Assassin Squad arrested just before operating in Holon Israel today

Suspicion: The Israel Police thwarted an assassination attempt and arrested a criminal cell in Holon shortly before the assassination.

The vigilance of civilians who called Hotline 100 and reported a suspicious vehicle and the rapid operational activity of Ayalon police and detectives from the Central Unit of the Tel Aviv District, led to the arrest of a criminal squad that was allegedly in the process of assassinating criminal organizations.

Investigators from the Tel Aviv Police Department completed the investigation into the Holon assassination case last month, during which three suspects were arrested during an operation in the middle of a move, according to the suspicion, of committing murder in a rival crime gang.

On 6/12/21, around 9:00 PM, a call was received at the police station about a suspicious vehicle with three men on the Fighters Street in Holon.

In the interrogation carried out by the patrol officers of the Ayalon area in front of the occupants of the vehicle, the suspicion grew against the three who had difficulty explaining the meaning of their actions at the place.

Additional forces from the Ayalon area and operational teams from the Tel Aviv Sq. Were called to the scene.

During a search conducted by the police in the vehicle, 5 "operational" telephones (without ownership) of the squad were seized, which were allegedly intended to be used during the assassination plot.

In front of the squad vehicle, the suspects placed another stolen vehicle with fake plates containing helmets and a jerrycan with flammable material.

During the searches conducted by the police, two pistols were discovered nearby, with cartridges loaded with 9 mm bullets.

The findings of the investigation revealed that the squad was in contact with other gang members who were observing the assassination target whose identity is unknown, and that hats, items of change for change and several pairs of shoes were also discovered in the vehicle in which they were sitting.

The suspects: Ran Yehezkel, 23, from Or Yehuda, Ronen Jeremiah, 23, from Dimona and Daniel Aronbeev, 22, from Ramat Gan, were arrested for questioning on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder, carrying and possessing a weapon, obstructing court proceedings and destroying sight.

This week, at the end of their investigation, the case in their case was transferred to the State Attorney's Office for the purpose of filing an indictment and a request for detention until the end of the proceedings.
