Summary.
Yannick Jadot (EELV), Anne Hidalgo (PS), Fabien Roussel (PC), Jean-Luc Mélenchon (LFI), Arnaud Montebourg… No less than five declared candidates, and yet the left is struggling to win in the presidential campaign.
None of these contenders for the Elysee is able to qualify for the second round according to the polls.
Three months before the ballot, calls to line up behind a single candidacy are increasing, especially from activists.
Anne Hidalgo wanted to respond, by proposing at the beginning of December, the organization of a citizen and transpartisan primary.
But its competitors still refuse.
With the exception of the Communist candidate and Christiane Taubira, the former Keeper of the Seals who could, in turn, embark on the race.
Source code returns to this fragmented left with Jannick Alimi and Julien Duffé, journalists at the Parisian political service.
