The 7,000 tickets available to attend the 2022 Parade of the Kings in Madrid with reserved space have been sold out in just 12 minutes, as announced in a statement by the City Council. At eleven in the morning on Monday, when the deadline for the acquisition of free tickets was opened, the wait was almost an hour. More than 11,000 people were queuing

to get the tickets. "First to come, first to be served," stated the website. The number of people in the queue was dropping. But, many of them have been left without a ticket because they have quickly sold out.

The tickets have been divided into eight different sections, located between Nuevos Ministerios and Plaza de Cibeles. The parade returns to the streets of Madrid after the presence was canceled last year due to the restrictions derived from the pandemic. This January 5, the Three Kings Parade will be held, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. and end at 9:00 p.m.

In addition, this year we have opted for the advance reservation of entry in order to avoid waiting and crowds around the stands. Their three majesties will continue with the usual itinerary and will pass through the following locations: Paseo de la Castellana, Plaza de Colón, Recoletos and Plaza de Cibeles. The floats accompanying the three Wise Men will travel three kilometers from the Madrid capital. But, this year they will not throw candies to try to guarantee the safety distance between the assistants and avoid crowds.

In addition, the Consistory reminds that the use of a mask is mandatory at all times for all attendees.

The City Council "thanks all citizens for the interest they have shown in being able to attend this traditional event that puts the final touch on Christmas."

The alternative recommended for people who have not been able to get a ticket is to follow the parade on television, through TVE and Telemadrid, which will broadcast it live.
