New York Attorney General Letitia James cited Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump Jr. as part of her civil investigation into tax fraud at her father's business organization, Donald Trump, according to court files released Monday.

James “recently” filed subpoenas seeking testimony and documents from these two Trump sons “in connection with an investigation into the valuation of properties owned or controlled by Donald J. Trump or the Trump Organization,” according to a court order. Supreme Court of New York unveiled on Monday and first reported by The New York Times.

James also required the former president's testimony as part of the investigation.

Trump has called the investigation "corrupt" and a "witch hunt."

The filing released Monday shows that Trump and his sons are defying subpoenas.

The judge signed a stipulation on Dec. 30 that will allow Trump's children to file a motion to vacate the subpoenas and for the attorney general to respond with a schedule for the judge to review the submissions.

Lawyers for James' office have already taken testimony from another Trump son, Eric, in the investigation at the end of 2020.

The prosecutor is studying whether to file a civil lawsuit against the company and is also participating in a criminal investigation led by the Manhattan district attorney into alleged tax fraud schemes at Trump's company.

The prosecution accused the Trump Organization and its chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, of tax fraud last year.

Both have pleaded not guilty.

The former president and his children have not been charged with any crime in the case.

After news broke last month that Trump had been summoned to testify, his attorney, Ronald Fischetti, said he was not concerned about the investigation.

“They have been investigating this for three years.

We are not concerned because he has done nothing wrong, ”Fischetti said, referring to Trump.
