U.S. stocks performed well on the first trading day of this year, with the three major indexes rising, and the Dow hit a full-day high of 36,595 points, setting a new record high in revenue with the benchmark index.

Apple once rose by 2.99%, becoming the world's first public company with a market value of over US$3 trillion. In addition, Tesla’s fourth-quarter delivery of electric vehicles exceeded expectations, and the stock price rose more than 13%, pushing the Nasdaq to rise 1.2%.


The Dow Jones index closed at 36,585 points, up 246 points or 0.68%; the S&P 500 index closed at 4,796 points, up 30 points or 0.64%; the Nasdaq index closed at 15,832 points, up 187 points or 1.2%.

Apple rose 2.5%, Tesla rose 13.53%, Boeing rose 3.25%, Walmart fell 0.03%, Netflix fell 0.84%, Meta rose 0.56%, and Microsoft fell 0.47%.
