Tamar Friedlander, a psychologist from the Forum for Organizations for Public Psychology, was a guest today (Tuesday) on the "15 Minutes" podcast hosted by Yossi Hadar, and said: "Public service psychologists earn only NIS 40 an hour and run away from the service.
Ridlander added: "HMOs do what they want, do not reward the general public, and do not provide free psychological treatment as they are required to."
She warns that precisely because of the corona plague there is a national psychological emergency and there are more depressive people, who can turn to a private psychologist but even there there is an unbearable burden.
"Not only do people with money have to experience mental well-being, an educational psychologist has to treat more than 1,000 students who suffer from suicidal tendencies, from addicted or psychotic parents and have no answer. A person with post-trauma from the military cannot wait months for treatment."
