This evening, the activities of the 12th edition of the (good deeds) festival, organized by a group of businessmen and women in cooperation with the Damascus Governorate, with the participation of more than 50 companies in the fields of food, clothing, detergents, electricals and carpets, started in Al-Mowasat Square in the Mezzeh area.
The festival director, Dr. Nisreen Nahas, said in a press statement that the initiative aims to break the mediation cycles, find markets for direct sales of the product to the consumer, and reduce prices between 20 and 50 percent, with multiple offers and gifts from the participants, appreciating the support of the Damascus Governorate, the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and the facilities provided for the establishment of the festival. Including the ability to sell subsidized materials directly to citizens without the condition that a message reaches them.
Member of the Executive Office of the Supply Sector in Damascus Governorate, Shadi Sukkarieh, indicated that the governorate provided logistical equipment and facilities to hold the festival as part of its encouragement for such initiatives that contribute to lowering prices.
SANA monitored the opinions of a number of participants in the festival, which lasts ten days from 11 am to 9 pm, where Abdul Rahman Zaitoun, Marketing Director of a detergent company, pointed out that the goal of their participation is to display, introduce and promote products and reach the largest possible number of consumers, while Ayoub mentioned My pickles from a men's clothing company said that the company's discounts at the festival range between 30 and 40 percent.
Asmahan Mohsen, owner of a workshop for manufacturing accessories, indicated that participation in the festival reflects positively on the volume of sales by introducing her products and offering them at competitive prices.
