A record 4.5 million workers left their jobs in November, which paradoxically is a sign of confidence and further proof that the labor market is recovering strongly from the 2020 recession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, according to official data released on Tuesday.

The Labor Department also released that companies posted 10.6 million job offers in November, down from 11.1 million in October, but just as high compared to historical standards.
Employers hired 6.7 million people, up from 6.5 million in October, according to the government's monthly survey to learn about fluctuations in the labor market.
