A new victory achieved by the Palestinian prisoners in the battle of steadfastness and empty intestines after forcing the Israeli occupation authorities to release the prisoner Hisham Abu Hawash after 141 days of his hunger strike to protest the crimes of this occupation against the prisoners.

The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority said in a statement reported by Wafa that the prisoner Abu Hawash won and suspended his hunger strike after reaching an agreement with the occupation under which he would be released on the 26th of next February, noting that Abu Hawash’s victory is a victory for every free and honorable person in this world. It comes as a complement to previous victories achieved by other prisoners in the face of the arbitrary occupation practices against the captive movement.

Member of the Prisoners Information Office, Ayman Al-Sharawneh, for his part, confirmed that the prisoner Abu Hawash was able to win his battle with his empty intestines against the occupation, which practices all kinds of crime and terrorism against the Palestinian prisoners inside its prisons, pointing out that his steadfastness made the occupation realize that its delay in releasing him is not in its interest, especially after The resistance issued warnings on the second of this month to the occupation that its continued crime against the prisoner Abu Hawash would cost him a lot.

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian National Initiative, Mustafa Barghouti, stressed that Abu Hawash's steadfastness broke the will of the occupier and achieved a victory for the Palestinian people and all humanity over the occupier.

Barghouti pointed out that the struggle is the only and correct way to liberate all prisoners from the occupation's prisons, and not betting on negotiations with the usurping entity.

It is noteworthy that the prisoner Abu Hawash, 40, from the town of Dura, west of Hebron, went on hunger strike on August 17 last year, after the occupation forces arrested him on October 26, 2020. He is married, father of five children, and a former prisoner who spent 8 years in occupation detention.
