Bad Grönenbach / A 7 - Two slightly injured people and 35,000 euros in property damage are the résumé of a traffic accident on Tuesday morning (4.1.2022) on the A 7 motorway.

At around 7:30 a.m., the driver of a VW Beetle drove into the left lane of the A 7 in the direction of Memmingen.
Shortly before the Bad Grönenbach junction, the VW driver was about to overtake two trucks.
During the overtaking process, a Mercedes hit the Beetle from behind, as a result of which the driver of the VW Beetle lost control and skidded.
He skidded in front of the truck he originally wanted to overtake and stopped between the right lane and the hard shoulder.
The driver of the truck could no longer avoid a collision and collided head-on with the VW Beetle.
Motorway A 7 completely closed for half an hour
Both car drivers were slightly injured in the traffic accident and were transported to the clinic in Memmingen as a precaution.
The Bad Grönenbach fire brigade and the Memmingen autobahn maintenance department had to completely block the northbound lane for half an hour.
The total damage is estimated at 35,000 euros.
