Update January 4th:

The health department reports 107 new corona infections.

According to calculations by the local health department, the seven-day incidence for the FFB district is 202.27 per 100,000 inhabitants.

The total number of suspected Omikron cases known is now 266. Among those who tested positive are 14 return travelers (six from France, three from Bosnia, two from Turkey, two from Hungary, and one from Italy).

One resident and three employees are currently considered to have tested positive in a total of three different senior facilities.

In the district clinic, nine people with Covid findings are treated, three of whom are ventilated.

In the district, 63.42 percent of the total population received the second vaccination.

36.67 percent received a booster vaccination.

Update January 3, 2022:

Compared to December 30 (last report in 2021), 59 new corona cases have become known, according to the health department. The seven incidence based on local calculations is now 186.36. The number of cases with justified suspicion of the Omikron variant has risen from a total of 126 on December 30 of last year to 230 now. This value is cumulative. That is, it describes all suspected Omikron cases that have surfaced in the district so far. Two men, aged 85 and 88, died most recently. In the district clinic, nine people with Covid findings are treated, four of whom are ventilated. So far, 63.36 percent of the total population in the district have received their second vaccination. This corresponds to a number of 138 799 people. 36.34 percent received a booster vaccination.This means that a total of 79 619 booster syringes were placed.

Update December 30th (transfer from the old ticker):

The district office reported 59 new corona infections on Thursday.

The seven-day incidence calculated by the health department was 160.45.

So far, 126 suspected Omicron cases have been counted.

Nine Covid patients are treated in the district clinic.

Four of them need ventilation.

138 493 people have received two vaccinations so far.

This corresponds to a rate of 63.22 percent.

A booster vaccination was given to 77 997 people in the district.

The rate here is 35.60 percent.
