The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, discussed with a delegation from the Jordan Chamber of Commerce ways to develop economic cooperation and trade exchange relations between Syria and Jordan.

He discussed the possibilities of establishing Syrian-Jordanian companies based on the needs of the two countries' markets and setting up Syrian exhibitions in Jordan.

Minister Salem noted the depth of the relations between the two countries, stressing the ministry's readiness to overcome all difficulties that hinder cooperation between Syria and Jordan and to provide all facilities that contribute to its development.

In turn, Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Nael Kabariti stressed the keenness of the Jordanian commercial and economic sector to establish strategic relations and build real partnerships with the Syrian side in order to achieve the common interests of the two countries.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection for Internal Trade Affairs, Rasha Kirkuki, and the head and members of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce.

The activities of the Jordanian Trade and Services Exhibition, which is organized by the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade in cooperation with the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, kicked off today on the exhibition grounds in Damascus and will continue until the sixth of this month, with the participation of more than 60 specialized Jordanian companies and 135 Jordanian businessmen and economists.
