Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz announced today (Tuesday) that starting next week, gays, single men and transgender people will be able to access the surrogacy process in Israel.
"We will allow single men, transgender people, fathers-to-be, gay couples, and virtually every person in Israel - equal access to surrogacy in Israel," Horowitz said.
"This is a historic day for the LGBT struggle in Israel and the long struggle for equality, a historic day for Israeli society as a whole - putting an end to years of injustice and discrimination.
