Their heavy sentences at first instance had marked the spirits: four Nigerians, including "
a nurse
" abortionist, sentenced to 10 to 19 years imprisonment for trafficking in human beings and aggravated pimping in an organized gang, have been on appeal since Tuesday, January 4 on appeal to Créteil.
Notable fact for this type of business: the circumstance of "
organized gang
" was retained, thus leading the defendants before an assize court where the penalties incurred are higher than in correctional.

In July 2020, the Paris Assize Court recognized the existence of a Nigerian organized gang network of pimping and trafficking of often underage girls to Europe, including France.
She sentenced Omos Wiseborn, to the "
central role
", to 19 years of imprisonment;
the couple Blessing Ubi and Dennis Brown at 15 and 13;
and Emmanuel Aiwansosa at 10 years old, in particular for having performed wild abortions.
The companion of Omos Wiseborn, on the run and targeted by an arrest warrant, had been sentenced by default to twenty years.
It is not retried.
