A young man who played for the football team claims that his coaches forced him to eat pizza with pepperoni, contrary to his belief • They claim he is lying • Now the young man is demanding four million dollars in compensation for mental anguish

A young Jew who previously played football in high school is demanding four million dollars in compensation, after his coach allegedly forced him to eat pizza with pork pepperoni.

The sentence, made because the student missed weight training, violated his belief, the young man claimed in federal court.

The affair took place last June, when a football coach and seven of his teammates at Cleveland Ohio High School were suspended from their jobs after media reports forced a kosher Jewish student to eat pork.

This is as a punishment for being absent from weight training.

According to reports released at the time, Wattley Marcus, a McKinley school team coach and seven assistants, summoned the 17-year-old athlete student to the gym after he missed the workout, seated him using force and forced him to eat pizza with pepperoni while sitting on the floor.

If he refuses, he will be expelled from the team, he was told, while the rest of his teammates would pay for his "defiant behavior" in particularly difficult training.

"The coach and his team knew that the student refrained from eating pork because of his religion," his lawyer told the Cleveland News Channel at the time.

A lawsuit has now been filed in federal court, in which the young man is suing for $ 4 million in compensation for what he went through.

The lawsuit states that the coach, who has since been fired, along with other employees, forced him to sit on a chair in the gym while his teammates train around him, and was told that if he did not eat all the pizza his future in the team would be in jeopardy.

The coach and his staff completely denied the allegations against them last June, and a month later filed a defamation suit against the family and the school.

"When this story first exploded we arrived with more than a dozen eyewitnesses who proved that the allegations that we forced him to eat pizza contrary to his belief were false and defamatory."

They claimed they offered him chicken nuggets as an alternative and no one forced him to eat pizza with pork.
