Doctors Without Borders: Migrants suffer violence in Mexico 2:28

The head of the Mexican Commission for Aid to Refugees in Mexico (Comar), Andrés Ramírez, reported this Monday that last year the country registered a record number of refugee applications.
"At the end of 2021, the number of applicants for refugee status in Mexico closed at 131,448, a figure that exceeds the historical mark of 2019 by 86.84%," Ramírez wrote on his Twitter account.
In another publication, the official detailed that in 2021 the applicants came mainly from: Haiti (51,857), Honduras (36,361), Cuba (8,319), Chile (6,970), Venezuela (6,223) and El Salvador (6,037).
He added that, in the case of Chileans, these are the children of Haitians.
