Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko criticized NATO’s intention to hold an emergency video conference

Moscow-Sana

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko criticized NATO's intention to hold an emergency video conference of foreign ministers of its member states in anticipation of the meeting of the (NATO Russia) Council, noting that this measure is intended to exacerbate tensions over the Ukrainian crisis.

And the website (Russia Today) quoted Grushko as saying to reporters today, "NATO's move, with its folds of indications of the alliance's concern about the alleged build-up of Russian forces near Ukraine's borders, is consistent with the alliance's old approach to raising tensions over the internal Ukrainian conflict before each dialogue session with Moscow and attempts to portraying Russia as a party to this conflict.”

In the same context, Grushko announced that he will represent Moscow for the meeting of the Russia-NATO Council to discuss Russia's proposals for security guarantees in Brussels on the 12th of this month, indicating that the Russian delegation will include diplomatic and military representatives.

And NATO announced earlier today that it will hold an emergency video conference on the 7th of this month to discuss Russia's proposals for European security. He also confirmed that the meeting of the NATO Russia Council will take place on the 12th of this month in Brussels.
