The patient developed fever, cough, runny nose and sore throat on January 2 and was arranged by his employer to move to a foreign domestic helper’s dormitory at 177-191A King’s Road, North Point on January 4. He was sent to hospital on the same day for testing. The result was initially positive and the Ct value was less than 20.
The patient had been vaccinated with two doses of Fubitai vaccine.

The center has requested the cruise ship to return early on the morning of January 5.
For the sake of prudence, the cruise ship will be included in the mandatory testing announcement. Anyone who has been on a cruise ship during the specified period must undergo mandatory testing on the specified day.
After the cruise ship arrives at the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, the government will conduct virus testing for all passengers and employees, and the nine close contacts will be sent to the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center for quarantine.
Center staff will board the cruise ship to inspect the sanitation situation.
