A pair of California twins who were born 15 minutes apart are already distinguished by having different birthdays.
The older brother, Alfredo Antonio Trujillo, was born on New Years Eve, while his sister, Aylin Yolanda Trujillo, debuted on January 1 at exactly midnight, according to the Monterey County Natividad Medical Center.

According to the hospital, the probability that twins will be born in different years is one in two million.
"For me it is crazy that they are twins and have different birthdays," said the mother of the twins, Fatima Madrigal.
"I was surprised and glad that it arrived at midnight."
Aylin weighed 2.6 kilograms while her older brother tipped the scales at 2.7 kilograms, according to the hospital.
These twins were born in different years.
"This has been, without a doubt, one of the most memorable births of my career," said Dr. Ana Abril Arias, a family doctor at the Natividad Medical Group and a Natividad teacher.
"It has been an absolute pleasure helping these little ones get here safely in 2021 and 2022. What an amazing way to start the New Year!"
