Without a driver's license and under the influence of drugs: Young man steals a car and causes an accident on A6

The Nuremberg police are concerned with a car theft and a subsequent accident.

After an accident on the A6 near Nuremberg, the police uncovered several offenses.

Not only was the car stolen, the driver drove without a valid driver's license.

Nuremberg - A 25-year-old stole a car in the Thon district of Nuremberg * and drove around with it.

On the A6, the man came off the lane and slammed into a tree - and that without a driver's license and probably under the influence of drugs.

"He was slightly injured in the traffic accident and received medical treatment in a hospital," said the police in Middle Franconia * on Tuesday (January 4th).

Accident after car theft on the A6 near Nuremberg: 25-year-old was probably under the influence of drugs

On the night of Monday (January 3), the young man must have stolen the car parked in Forchheimer Strasse.

How exactly he got into the vehicle and started it is still the subject of the investigation, according to the police.

When officials arrested the 25-year-old, he initially gave false personal details.

After clarifying the identity, it turned out that the man does not have a valid driver's license.

According to the police, he is also suspected of having "driven the vehicle under the influence of narcotics."

The Nuremberg-Fürth public prosecutor's office filed for arrest against the 25-year-old.

He will be brought before the investigating judge on Tuesday (January 4) to examine the question of detention.
