The German shepherd "was trying to show them something" and the agents "hardly believed it" when they decided to follow him and looked where the animal was pointing.

Tinsley acted like a lost wandering dog, but this German shepherd managed to guide the police to the place where his owner was and save him after suffering a serious traffic accident.

The man overturned his truck after turning off a New Hampshire highway near a junction with the interstate highway that leads to Vermont, local channel WMUR-TV reported Tuesday.

The man and his companion were trapped and seriously injured inside the vehicle, but the dog that was with them managed to escape and find a police patrol.

"The dog was trying to show them something," New Hampshire State Police Lt. Daniel Baldassarre explained of the German shepherd's behavior.

"He kept trying to get away from them, but he didn't totally run away," he said.

“It was something like: 'Follow me.

Follow me. '

And they did, ”he added.

"And, to their surprise, they saw the damaged security barrier and looked down where the dog was looking and hardly believed it" when they discovered the crashed vehicle, he acknowledged.
