Erding - The situation on the regional labor market remains stable at the end of the year.
The unemployment rate was unchanged in December at 1.9 percent.
In December, the Erding Employment Agency counted 1,627 unemployed.
That is 19 more than in November.
This resulted in an unchanged unemployment rate of 1.9 percent for the district.
In December 2020 it was 2.5 percent, in December 2019 1.7 percent.
“At the beginning of winter we were able to observe some unemployment reports from the weather-dependent industries.
Since it was still possible to work in external professions in the last few weeks, there has been no big rush so far, ”explained Andreas Bräutigam, head of the Freising Employment Agency.
However, he also registers "that the number of companies that place advertisements on short-time work for their employees has increased slightly since September 2021".
In addition, companies from the areas of retail, gastronomy and hairdressers have an increased need for information about short-time work, so Bräutigam.
The companies in the district reported 197 new positions to be filled in December.
That was 55 fewer than in November.
At the end of the year there were a total of 969 job offers in the Erdinger agency's job pool.
In the district in 2021, an annual average of 2059 men and women were registered as unemployed.
The annual average unemployment rate was 2.4 percent (2020: 2.5; 2019: 1.8%).
