(CNN) -

A Colorado woman accused of profiting from her young daughter's false illnesses before the girl's death in 2017 has reached a plea deal, authorities said.

Kelly Turner pleaded guilty to theft, charity fraud and child abuse that negligently caused her daughter's death, according to the district attorney's office for the 18th Judicial District.

Turner's attorney, Ara Ohanian, did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.

Turner was previously charged with murder in the death of 7-year-old Olivia Grant, whose alleged battle with cancer and various ailments were well documented.

She had pleaded not guilty at the time.

Vikki Migoya, a spokesman for the district attorney, said other charges, including murder, were dropped as part of the plea deal.

Olivia participated in events planned by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and was seen accompanied by police and firefighters in honor of her wishes to serve her community.

Olivia died in August 2017 of intestinal failure after Turner signed a DNR order, telling doctors that Olivia's quality of life was too bad to keep her alive, according to a 2019 Turner indictment.

An investigation began in 2018 after Turner took Olivia's older sister to a Colorado hospital and said she had previously been treated for cancer in Texas.

A doctor determined that this was not true, and hospital officials later found articles, blogs, social media posts and news stories in which Turner said the eldest daughter was suffering from various conditions, including bone pain, that were missing. backed by medical records, according to the indictment.

Concerned about the circumstances surrounding Olivia's death, authorities exhumed her body.

An autopsy found "a lack of anatomical findings" to indicate that she died of intestinal failure or suffered from many of the conditions reported, according to an Arapahoe County coroner, according to the indictment.

"The cause of death is best certified as indeterminate," wrote the coroner.

Several doctors told investigators that the conditions Olivia allegedly had were not supported after the exam, prosecutors said, and six doctors said none of the conditions constituted a terminal illness.

Many expressed doubts and offered alternative treatments to Turner, who refused their tests and insisted that Olivia had serious ailments, authorities said.

Turner also allegedly received nearly $ 600,000 in Medicaid benefits and donations from GoFundMe charities and donors, according to the indictment, even though Turner's husband worked for a company that would have provided health insurance to his wife and daughters.

Sentencing after the plea deal is scheduled for February 9, according to the district attorney's office.
