Bai Yun's six palms were elected as Chairman of the International Federation of Anti-Corruption Bureaus in the past ten years

ICAC Commissioner Bai Yunliu was elected as the new chairman at the General Assembly of the International Federation of Anti-Corruption Bureaus today (5th).

Bai Yunliu said that it is a great honor to represent the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption and thank the Central Government and the Hong Kong Government for consistently approving the ICAC's participation in international anti-corruption affairs and for approving him to run for the chairman of the Federation.

The ICAC announced that Bai Yunliu was elected chairman of the International Federation of Anti-Corruption Bureaus. Bai Yunliu will lead the federation to actively promote three main goals, including deepening the connections and cooperation between members through the newly established regional coordination mechanism of the federation; Actively participate in different international platforms and communication channels; and strengthen the secretariat to provide more support to the members of the federation.

He hoped that the Federation could become the focus of international anti-corruption cooperation and play a central role in the world's anti-corruption cause.

Established in 2006, the Federation is the first international organization established for anti-corruption agencies around the world to promote the effective implementation of the "United Nations Convention against Corruption" and promote international anti-corruption cooperation.

So far, more than 140 countries, regions and jurisdictions have joined the federation or participated in various activities of the federation, including most of the world's major anti-corruption agencies.

The Commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption has served as a member of the Executive Committee of the Federation since 2008, and Bai Yunliu took over in July 2012 and started as the convener of the training committee in 2017 to develop and implement training activities for the members of the Federation.
