In Ecuador, a public transport bus crashed on Tuesday and left at least three dead and 18 injured, according to the Integrated Security Service ECU 911.
Those affected "are being cared for by medical personnel from the Ministry of Health and the Ecuadorian Red Cross and transferred to the respective health houses, both in Catamayo and Loja, for a more specialized assessment," details ECU 911 in a note. sent to CNN.
The incident occurred on the Loja-Catamayo road, in the province of Loja, in the south of the country.
At the moment it is unknown what caused the accident.
The vehicle was heading to the city of Macará, also in the province of Loja.
