Today, the city of Zhengzhou in central China began examining its 12 million residents, after it recorded a number of infections with the Corona virus.
And the French press agency quoted the city authorities as saying in a statement today that “all residents are subject to partial quarantine and must undergo an examination to detect any undeclared infections,” after 11 cases of corona were recorded in recent days, including nine asymptomatic cases.
In turn, the deputy director of the city's health committee, Ma Guangyi, said that "although the number of infections that appeared has been high for several days, the upward trajectory of the epidemic's spread at the level of residential neighborhoods has been controlled."
China has largely succeeded in eliminating the Corona epidemic on its soil since the spring of last year, thanks to strict quarantine measures and very intensive examinations.
These measures did not prevent the emergence of small spots of corona, which remained very limited compared to many other countries.
