District office and police check whether restaurants and shops comply with the 2G and 3G rules.

The authorities are now taking stock

District

- Most of the shops and restaurants in the district adhere to the Corona rules.

The district office comes to this conclusion after numerous checks by the police and district administration.

The G-rules have been in effect in Bavaria since November.

2G, i.e. vaccinated or recovered, applies in restaurants and driving schools, for example.

Access to theaters and museums has been tightened: only vaccinated and convalescent people with an additional test have entry (2G plus).

3G applies at the workplace - only employees with a proof of vaccination, recovery or test are allowed to enter their company.

People who cannot provide the necessary evidence are not allowed in.

Organizers and business owners as well as employers must check the evidence.

They are also checked in turn by district administrations and the police.

District office registered six violations

Employees of the Munich District Office did just that: by December 27, they had checked 193 businesses and found six violations. The district administration announced this on request. The violations affected restaurants and businesses that offer body-hugging services. "Infection hygiene instructions" were sometimes carried out. In addition, the authority controls almost 17 test centers at regular intervals.

The police checked 444 establishments during the same period, the focus being on restaurants. The police officers only had to complain about twelve violations due to disregard of the obligation to provide evidence. The controls were carried out after reports from the population and also without cause. Organizers or business owners who do not check guests and customers according to their vaccination, convalescence or test evidence must pay a fine of up to 5000 euros. This is provided by the standard rate according to the catalog of fines "Corona pandemic".

The controls show, said a spokeswoman for the district office, "that most companies adhere to the applicable regulations and carry out the checks on the evidence conscientiously".

Police officers and employees of the district office would "consistently continue" the controls.

The willingness to break the rules, on the other hand, is “alarmingly high” among citizens.

This is shown by a study by the Bundeswehr University in Neubiberg.

Before Christmas, 1,166 people were asked about their willingness to comply with the corona rules.

Result: 47 percent of those questioned were "very willing" to break the rules over the holidays.

The openness to rule breaks in the unvaccinated was significantly higher than in the vaccinated.
