Prague-Sana
The head of the Moravian Czech Communist Party, a member of the European Parliament from the Czech Republic, Katerjina Konicna, described the continued imposition of unilateral Western coercive economic measures on Syria as "absolute insolence."
Konicna indicated in a statement to SANA reporter in Prague today that Syria, after the terrorist war that it was subjected to, needs to unite to rebuild its economy and construction, but the only effect left by the coercive Western measures lies in the decline in the standard of living of Syrian citizens and the slowing down of the reconstruction process, which is considered an act. Inhuman and immoral.”
Konichna considered that the West practices double standards in its proposals, as it talks about helping the peoples most in need and at the same time does everything it can so that Syria or other countries are not able to restore its activity and economic growth, stressing that “the application of international law should not be done in a manner that suits international players.” .
She stressed that Syria is a sovereign state, and therefore the unity and sovereignty of its territories and what its people choose must be respected.
