Now a new candidate is starting the conversation: Dr.

Alexander Brock.

The 58-year-old is actually a doctor and heads the internal medicine department at St. Marien Hospital in Borken.

In addition to his job, the doctor appears under his stage name "Doc Brock".

The musician-doctor uses singing as a change from his stressful everyday clinical routine.

“Writing, singing and producing songs is a real strength booster for me.

In my free time I need something that distracts me from the stress of the hospital and that's where the music is ideal.

I just feel lucky when I deal with this topic, ”says Alexander Brock.

He goes on to explain: “Of course I'm curious to see how far I'll get and hope for a benevolent jury and nice reactions from the audience.

But music remains my hobby, the job in the hospital is still in the foreground. ”In any case, he gets support from his colleagues.

A decision as to who will be allowed to compete for Germany will be made by ARD in March 2022.
