In 2014 they met at “Bauer sucht Frau” and married a few years later: organic farmer Gottfried and his Martina.

Farmer Gottfried informed the broadcaster RTL: "My beloved Martina has lost the tough battle against cancer." The woman at his side died in December 2021 at the age of 55, the TV broadcaster reported.
