British Supreme Court recognizes Juan Guaidó 0:54
(CNN Spanish) -
Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó, recognized as the president in charge of Venezuela by the United States and some European countries, ruled out on Wednesday that a process of direct negotiations could be carried out between the government of the questioned President Nicolás Maduro and the United States .
At the same time, he insisted that they must work in a space for serious and real negotiation.
In his opinion, what should be avoided is giving volume to processes that know in advance that they will not reach results.
He also assured that it is up to the opposition to continue working to align itself in the face of the next challenges and to leave the differences behind.

“It is necessary to make decisions such as the famous recall referendum, the presidential election, the Comprehensive Agreement;
They are decisions that correspond to the Unit, not to a small group that wants to push us all on a route with very personal goals and interests.
The issue to be discussed is the process to be activated, "said Guaidó.

Similarly, he urged not to leave the people of Barinas alone when referring to the governor's election scheduled for this Sunday, January 9, as a repetition of the vote of November 21, 2021, an election canceled by a decision of the Supreme Court of Justice that determined that the candidate who headed the count was not legally qualified to hold public office.

In Guaidó's opinion, this Sunday's process does not have the necessary conditions to be considered as free elections.
"Today I ask Venezuela not to leave Barinas and Plan República alone at this time with a message: they are not a political party," he said.
