After decades of activity at the old Margoza Rehabilitation Center, established after the Six Day War, the Ministry of Defense decided to establish a new rehabilitation complex for IDF disabled people with head injuries, including some of the IDF's most severely disabled during the Israeli wars and operations.

"Unlike other centers, people with head injuries have been in the rehabilitation center for decades, so it has become a kind of community, and some it is like their home. For patients, some are very severely injured, they get up in the morning and go to work. And also art therapy. Seeing them create together is a great excitement, "says Ronit Sandrowitz, from the Rehabilitation Services Unit in the Ministry of Defense's Rehabilitation Division. "We believe that IDF disabled people should receive the best care, and today this is not possible. The current structure is very outdated, and certainly not at an appropriate technological level, "notes Sandrovich
. The planned building has three floors, and will include a variety of frameworks: rehabilitation workshops, textile design, art therapy, wood care, sculpture and ceramics, educational kitchen, landscaping,Library and more.
Also, the new center will have a roof terrace for events and spacious balconies on each floor.
The Ministry of Defense plans to begin construction work on the site in the coming weeks, and populate the site in 2025.
