India records first death from omicron mutant

New Delhi, SANA- An official of the Indian Ministry of Health announced that the first death linked to the severe omicron mutant has been recorded

An official at the Indian Ministry of Health announced that the first death linked to the highly contagious omicron mutant from the Corona virus was recorded in the western Indian state of Rajasthan.

Reuters quoted the official as telling reporters today, "The number of cases of the Omicron mutant has risen to 2,135 so far."

And the Indian authorities announced yesterday their intention to impose a curfew in the capital, New Delhi, this weekend, to limit the spread of the mutated Omicron strain of the Corona virus.
