(CNN Spanish) -

This Wednesday CES 2022, the most important technology fair in the world, began.

The event, which returns partially in person to Las Vegas, brings together hundreds of companies and innovators who present some of the products that will be coming to market in the next 24 months.

And within this range of products and events are the Innovation Awards, the Innovation Awards in English, which distinguish "outstanding designs and engineering in consumer technology products," according to the CES website.

Among the featured products this year are Abbott Laboratories' BinaxNOW home test for COVID-19, along with the NAVICA app.

This is just one example of how the tech industry has come to grips with the coronavirus pandemic.

The Innovation Awards consist of two categories: Best of Innovation and Honorable Mentions.

Those who obtain the most points are the winners for the best of innovation.

Among these winners are:

FreeStyle Libre 3

The FreeStyle Libre 3 system consists of a device that is implanted in the body and an application that allow continuous monitoring of blood glucose levels in people with diabetes.

The implant is the thinnest on the market, says Abbott, the company behind the product, and offers 10-minute glucose monitoring.

The implant can be used for 14 days.

According to Abbott, this system has changed the lives of more than 3 million people worldwide.

Petnow: the application to identify dogs by their nose

The Korean company Petnow invented an application that, through artificial intelligence and a dog's nose, can identify its identity.

The premise is simple: the dog's nose is similar to the human's fingerprint, each one is unique.

And thanks to this, you could identify who is the owner of a dog that, for example, has been lost.

The company says the advantage of its product is that the animal should not have a chip implanted in its body.

The application is not yet available for download on mobile devices.

A shower with wifi integration that allows you to save water

Not only does it have an attractive design, but it also helps you be kinder to our planet.

The RainStick Shower received a Best of Innovation award at CES 2022 for its ability to save 80% of the water we use while bathing.

For this, the shower recirculates the water that is used during the bath, purifies it with ultraviolet light and reuses it.

The company says that each drop of water is used six times before being discarded.

They add that this recirculated water is never stored and used in multiple bathing sessions.

According to the company, this watering can would save between US $ 500 and US $ 700 within five years.

A computer monitor that adjusts to your posture

This product can be attractive to all those who work from home.

LG Electronics unveiled its ultra-thin Ergo AI (32UQ890) monitor at CES 2022, which the company claims adjusts automatically when it detects a change in the user's posture.

Previous versions of this monitor were around $ 600.

Honorable Mentions for Innovation at CES 2022

Abbott's covid-19 test and the NAVICA app

The Abbott Laboratories BinaxNOW Home Antigen Test along with the NAVICA app was selected as one of the Honorable Mention products at the CES Innovation Awards.

It is a 15-minute test that, used together with the NAVICA app, would offer the user a way to quickly verify their result.

The test was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration and is only available in that country, according to the company.

The pillow that detects your snoring

Technology directed at sleep is increasingly present at CES.

This year, the Korean company 10Minds presented its Motion Pillow 3 pillow that detects snoring from users and activates a kind of air bags to adjust the position of the head.

According to the company, this process does not interfere with sleep and would prevent problems such as sleep apnea and the risk of dementia.

The crib that "sleeps" your baby if he wakes up

And continuing with the theme of good sleep, if you have a baby with problems falling asleep, this crib could be the solution.

The Cradlewise is a smart crib for infants 0-2 years old.

What makes it different?

A sensor that monitors movements that are indicative that the baby will wake up, which allows the crib to rock, play music and lull the baby.

According to the company, the crib learns the user's sleep patterns and adapts to the baby's needs.

A pair of headphones that will transport you to your favorite concert

Another of the products that are most seen at CES are those for the enjoyment of audio.

Of course, hearing aids take on great relevance.

Here comes Alpha, this year's honorable mention headphones from CES 2022.

These are smart and wireless headphones that, according to the company Cleer Audio, offer a superior sound cancellation experience.

What makes these headphones special is the incorporation of Dirac Virtuo spatial audio technology.

Alpha has two microphones, 35 hours of playback per charge and a Bluetooth 5.1 connection.

The climber that connects with Alexa

For those looking for an option to exercise at home, this product may be interesting for them.

It is about CLMBR Connected, an ergonomic stair climber that connects with the virtual assistant Alexa and which was recognized with an honorable mention at CES 2022.

According to the company, this is the first climber to have a large-format touchscreen.

It has an integrated sound system and can be connected to an app that allows you to track exercise sessions.
