For children and adolescents, schools are the so-called critical infrastructure and are systemically relevant - for them, school operations must be safeguarded even with high numbers of infections, said Minister of Education Grant Hendrik Tonne (SPD) in a message distributed in Hanover on Wednesday.

Tonne emphasized: "It is therefore necessary to push ahead with the booster vaccinations for teachers and to significantly shorten the quarantine rules at least for teachers with third-party vaccinations."
