“Welcome to the new year, welcome to the Bosco!” The Gautinger Bürger- und Kulturhaus starts the third Corona year full of hope.

"Our calendar of events in the new half-year is full of pick-packs," says the Bosco.

The problems remain: the number of visitors is still limited to 25 percent.

Advance sales start on Saturday, January 8th, from 10 a.m.

Gauting

- Advance sales at the Bosco are only valid for the first half of the year and also for all sponsoring members. Subscriptions are paused due to restrictions in the first half of the year. The start of advance sales had been postponed several times due to the Corona situation - and should the capacity requirements change, there will be another advance booking date.

Thomas Hilkert, chairman of the Theaterforum and thus responsible for a large part of the program, calls the capacity restrictions “our great handicap”, which neither Bosco nor the artists pay off. Since the end of November, only 75 of the 300 tickets available can be sold per concert or performance. In order to have more flexibility for couples who are allowed to sit next to each other, there is free choice of seats at the start of the season, explains Thomas Hilkert. The Theaterforum has already submitted funding applications to the state for lost failures. “But so far there has not been any money,” summarizes Hilkert. The only way to continue is by donating cards in the first lockdown in 2020 and thanks to sponsoring "our great audience". In addition, the municipality assumes a large proportion of the personnel costs for the administration."An important pillar" in the financing is also the contributions, but also donations from the 450 members of the theater forum. "I am always touched by how much our audience supports us so that we don't break down: that is a real incentive." He very much hopes that distance will soon no longer be necessary "and that we can go all out again".

There is currently an important change in the Corona rules: Visitors who received a third booster vaccination (booster) at least 15 days ago are currently not required to test. The Omikron wave could also change that or concerts that have already been announced and performances could be postponed, explains the organizing team. From Friday, January 7th, the theater office will be open again: z (089) 45 23 85 80. The new printed programs are also available there.

The half-year program starts with a vernissage on Tuesday, January 11th, 7 pm: Under the title “Bergseele”, photographer Miriam Mayer will walk across the Alps (the film “Alpi” will be shown on January 18th) .
