North Korea said it successfully tested a hypersonic missile on Wednesday, state news agency KCNA reported.

The missile detached after launch, maneuvered 120 km from the initial launch, and reached the target set at 700 km without an error, KCNA reported.
Japan's Coast Guard said after reports of the launch on Wednesday that the projectile fell into the sea off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula.
