A surveyor living in Tsui Ning Garden, Tuen Mun, confirmed the diagnosis. Earlier, it was suspected to be a case of unknown origin. After epidemiological follow-up, it was found that there was a high chance that it was a related case of an earlier infected crew member.
Earlier, a flight attendant and her family were diagnosed, and a close contact of the latter and the maid of another close contact were initially diagnosed.
Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor announced that starting from Friday (January 7), local restaurants will stop dinner for two weeks to fight the epidemic.

On January 4, a 42-year-old male surveyor in Block 2 of Tsui Ning Garden, Jumen, was diagnosed (case 12767). He was working in Room A, 13th Floor, Lee Man Commercial Centre, North Point. Another maid was diagnosed initially, and her employer was also a close contact of Case 12754.
The maid developed fever, cough, runny nose and sore throat on January 2. She was arranged by her employer to move to a foreign domestic helper's dormitory at 177-191A King's Road, North Point on January 4. She was sent to hospital on the same day.
So far, flight attendants have imported cases or have led to three generations of communication groups.

In addition, the CHP's investigation revealed that the 43-year-old female patient’s employer and eight other persons who were also close contacts of Case 12754 boarded the cruise ship "Ocean Spectrum" on January 2.
There are approximately 2,500 passengers and more than 1,200 employees on board, and the cruise ship will be included in the mandatory inspection announcement.
As of January 4, a total of 6 people in the Wangyuelou group have been diagnosed and 1 person has been initially diagnosed, and related cases have visited the above locations.
