The uncertainty remains, a few days after the explosion which seriously injured Philippe Doutron, 61, in his car, a driver who left his hotel in Jeddah before participating in the Dakar rally-raid, organized in Saudi Arabia.
Injured in the leg on Saturday, then operated on in the kingdom, Philippe Doutron was then repatriated to France, where he is treated at the Percy de Clamart military hospital.
On Tuesday, the national anti-terrorism prosecution opened a preliminary investigation for "
attempted assassinations in connection with a terrorist enterprise"
, and the investigations were entrusted to the DGSI, the French internal intelligence services.

We will see if the DGSI manages to collect a lot of information from the Saudi authorities
," asks a French expert.
