The biography of Sanjah Al-Arab Sabah Fakhri and aspects of his lyrical creativity were the focus of the symposium held by the Cultural Center in Abu Rummaneh, with the participation of singer Esmat Rashid, media personality Randa Al-Muhtadi, and researcher Mukhles Al-Mahmoud.

The symposium began with a presentation of illustrated selections of parts of rare concerts of the late since his beginnings, and the Aleppo Qudoud, which he sang from the sixties, with mawwal, muwashahat, and roles that he played with his voice in various forums.

Al-Muhtadi highlighted the stations of Fakhri's life and career, indicating that he was born in 1933 and was a student of Sheikh Omar Al-Batsh, who spread the Samah dance and composed dozens of muwashshahat in Syria. A young man in the forties of the last century, in the presence of former President Shukri al-Quwatli, when he was on a visit to Aleppo, and the national fighter Fakhri al-Baroudi gave him his second name.

Speaking about Fakhri's achievements, she indicated that he had received several Arab and international decorations, including the Syrian Order of Merit of the Excellent Class, in appreciation of his artistic contributions and contributions during half a century of time and his efforts to preserve the Arab lyrical heritage.

Among his radio posts, Al-Muhtadi noted the late’s participation in yesterday’s Nagham program with the late Rafiq Subai’i and Sabah Al-Jazaery, where he recorded nearly 160 tunes between song, poem, role, muwashah and mawal, through which he preserved the musical heritage that Aleppo is famous for, in addition to many participations in television and radio programs She also mentioned the positions held by the late, referring to his many participations in international festivals.

In turn, the singer and composer Ismat Rashid pointed out that the late Sabah Fakhri is a complete encyclopedia, and had it not been for his efforts, the musical heritage would have vanished, and he is the owner of a voice capable of presenting heritage with renewal.

Rashid focused on the late rich experience in musical shrines and that he is a great art school, stressing that he gained a lot of knowledge and experience at the beginning of his journey with art.
