After the three coalition parties of the federal government, the Union is also supporting a second term of office for Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Munich / Berlin - The presidia of the Union parties will discuss a common position on the upcoming election of the Federal President * in mid-February 2022 on Wednesday (from 9 a.m.). In a video channel chaired by the two party leaders Armin Laschet (CDU) and Markus Söder (CSU) should decide whether the Union supports the re-election of the current incumbent Frank-Walter Steinmeier in the Federal Assembly on February 13th.
