"Inclusive", "inclusion": what these ubiquitous words reveal about our society

TRIBUNE - There is a word that has spread at the speed of a forest fire: “inclusive”. His triumph says a lot about the evolution of Western societies, marked by a deviation from the ideal of evangelical perfection, explains the philosopher Chantal Delsol brilliantly.


We have all noticed in recent years that everywhere, in the press as in research texts, the concept of inclusion has replaced that of "good".

We no longer say that such and such a discourse, such a reform, such a teaching, is good - probably because we no longer know very clearly what are the criteria of good, if there are any.
