International relations are crossed by daily tensions which make them more and more unpredictable. In a world where instability becomes the rule, having a strong and stable corps of diplomats is a necessity for our country. Yet it is this particular moment in world history that the government chooses, under the leadership of the President of the Republic, to implement an incomprehensible reform of our diplomatic corps.
You are not born a diplomat, you become one: diplomacy is a profession that can be learned.
The recruitment of our diplomats through specific competitive examinations makes it possible to ensure that the laureates have the knowledge, personal qualities and especially the linguistic skills required to exercise the profession of diplomat, skills that cannot be found in a
pool
. of interchangeable individuals.
In this, French diplomats can be proud of not being amateurs.
