At the end of 2021, the arrival of 2022 reveals a balance of great changes in our lifestyle.
Lots of unexpected changes without a doubt!
But changes that, if we can summarize them in a few words, would be: a new maturity in the way we live.
And a capacity to adapt to changes that we never imagined we would have.
Huge "resignation" to what is a 180 degree different life and not always pleasant or happy!
That shows how strong we are and deserves applause.
OPINION | The new year will start in March
Having been suffering from the covid-19 pandemic for two years, it is vividly felt how much our 'day to day', our customs and even our expectations and illusions have changed.
However, there is something intensely beautiful about how well - super good! - that most of humanity has behaved in the face of so much stress and uncertainty.
We have been mostly very disciplined and very obedient.
We have been vaccinated, we have worn masks, we have been separated by 2 meters and in millions of homes around the world we have lived confined for months and months.
That adaptability put our character to the test, and even the most frivolous and superficial have surprised us with their strength and discipline.
To that we must say "bravo"!
This year 2021 - together with the also sad 2020 - made us know ourselves and others better and, from my point of view, this is the most positive and humane thing that its end leaves us with.
And what about our daily life?
In fashion?
From our habits?
Well, little by little we have regained interest in beautiful things!
The comfort and decoration of our houses has become much more important.
We don't go out so much anymore and it is vital to have a home that we love!
And the clothes again excite us a lot, leaving aside the boring sportswear and sneakers for a very cute, colorful fashion that makes us feel beautiful and "ourselves" again.
Just as we perfume ourselves more and take care of our skin by buying new treatment products and cosmetics, to pamper ourselves like never before!
And regarding our customs, we have recovered the desire to be happy and have a great time!
With a small group of friends (vaccinated and on the booster dose!) And family again we thoroughly enjoyed their company.
Thus ends 2021 and begins 2022. And outings to 'safe' places are enjoyed with greater pleasure than ever.
Restaurants, cinemas, theaters, walks to the beach, to the mountains, outdoor sports, and to appreciate our own home more!
We long for what our life was like before covid-19, but in the meantime we continue 'at the foot of the gun'.
And within the security measures that we follow —like the use of masks, for example— we accept funny masks that are now sold in lace and sequins for elegant nights!
And so we celebrate the arrival of 2022. With strength, positivism and loving each other more.
